At Henderson Chevrolet we’re not just proud of our history because it’s our story, but because it’s an American story. When William “Bill” Heinrich came home after serving in World War II he began to look for a way to support his family. He first started working with his father, making license plate frames and other accessories for auto dealerships, then going out and selling them to the dealerships. It was his work with the auto dealerships that caused him to decide that he wanted to be a part of the auto industry. Bill’s first job was as a salesman at a Long Beach, California car dealership. Over time, Bill worked his way up through sales and management positions, finally being offered a job as a General Manager of 3-Way Chevrolet in Bakersfield, California. Although Bill loved his job he was still looking for an opportunity to own a dealership. His chance arrived. Although Bill has passed away, his son Greg has taken that philosophy and made it the rule which has allowed our dealership to be one of the Top 30 in the United States.

Henderson Chevrolet is still owned by the Heinrich family and still follows the philosophy of customers first, which makes us different than many of our corporate owned competitors.
